The Eric Breast Cancer Run: Free Screenings Empower Community
ECUREI supported The Uganda Association for Sonography (UGASON) at the Eric Breast Cancer Campaign and to offer free breast cancer screenings at the Breast Cancer Run, held at the Nakasero Primary School Playground. The event dedicated to raising awareness and promoting early detection, brought participants together for both a good cause and a healthy run.
Once set up, ECUREI’s sonographers and UGASON provided essential screenings and health education to everyone who joined. Each participant left equipped with valuable insights on breast health and the importance of regular check-ups.
With more than a dozen people screened on-site, ECUREI’s involvement reaffirmed our dedication to supporting community health. The event was a reminder of how powerful early screening can be in detecting and managing breast cancer, and we look forward to strengthening our outreach efforts in future health initiatives.
