The Eric Breast Cancer Run: Ernest Cook University – Project dedicated to improving Women health Through Breast Cancer Screening

 On October 20, 2024, ECUREI supported the Uganda Association for Sonography (UGASON) at the Eric Breast Cancer Campaign and to offer free breast cancer screening at the Breast Cancer Run. The event was held at Nakasero Primary School Playground and was dedicated to raising awareness and promoting early detection of Breast Cancer.

Once set up, ECUREI’s sonographers and UGASON provided essential screening and health education the participants. Each participant was equipped with valuable insights on breast health and the importance of regular check-ups.          

Over 50 people screened on-site. ECUREI’s involvement reaffirmed our dedication to supporting community health. The event was a reminder of how essential early screening can be in detecting and managing breast cancer, and we look forward to strengthening our outreach efforts in future health initiatives.
