The Office of the Dean of Students, in collaboration with the University Chaplaincy, provides comprehensive counselling and guidance services aimed at supporting the holistic development and well-being of all students. These services are designed to foster academic success, emotional resilience, personal growth, and spiritual development within the University community. Our Purpose: The Counselling and Guidance Unit is committed to promoting a supportive and inclusive environment where students can address personal, academic, social, and psychological challenges in a confidential and professional setting. We strive to empower students with the skills and resources needed to navigate university life successfully.

Services Offered Individual Counselling: Confidential one-on-one sessions to address personal, academic, and emotional concerns. Group Counselling: Facilitated sessions that provide peer support and shared learning on common issues. Academic Guidance: Support in managing study-related challenges, goal setting, and improving academic performance. Career Guidance: Assistance with career planning, decision-making, and personal development. Crisis Intervention: Immediate support for students experiencing distress or emergencies. Referral Services: Connections to specialized professionals where necessary.

Chaplaincy and Spiritual Support
The University Chaplain works closely with the Counselling Unit to provide spiritual care and pastoral guidance to students of all faiths. The Chaplaincy promotes values of integrity, compassion, and ethical living while supporting students in their spiritual journeys. Services include: Pastoral Counselling: Faith-based guidance and support tailored to individual needs. Spiritual Mentorship: Opportunities for personal reflection, mentorship, and growth. Worship and Fellowship: Regular services, prayer meetings, and interfaith activities. Community Outreach: Engagement in initiatives that promote service and social responsibility. Our Commitment All counselling and guidance services are delivered with the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and respect.
